On my recent trip to Bowra, I was birding with the guys from Uni of Qld
when a Darter was called flying a 50 or so metres above the ground and
several hundred metres away. I thought the jizz was wrong for a Darter
so I was looking at it closely through the binoculars. At the point I
decided it was a Little Black Cormorant, it was hit with great force by
a Little Eagle. Both tumbled toward the ground where we presumed the LB
Cormorant was consumed.

One of the memorable moments of birding!

Regards

Allan Benson
