LoadMyTracks is excellent for folks with Apple Macs.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

"LoadMyTracks is a utility to transfer Tracks, Waypoints, and Routes, and Laps to and from supported GPS devices and make them available in GPX or KML (Google Earth) format."

My GPS is a serial device so you need a serial-USB converter but newer USB devices should work out of the box.

As has been said it is fiddly but does work and it's fun when you get back from a long trip to load your track onto Google Earth. I have tracks from my trip to Malaysia last year.

If anyone is interested download 'path.kmz' (12 kb) from my website and see the Kuala Selangor-Fraser's Hill drive or the full trip log - 'malaysia_2007.kml' (2 Mb).

A pity Peninsular Malaysia has such poor imagery on GE.

Cheers
Steve
