Birders,

An interesting few days in Lapstone recently, with 5 raptors reported
between Dick Turner and myself. First a pair of Crested Hawks
harrassed the locals and rested in our Ironbark on friday. Saturday
saw a pair of Wedgies low over the house, a rarity for us. Later that
day the Squaretail was sighted further down the hill, and a Peregrine
sighted later still. Then, rounding off the weekend yesterday, a Brown
Goshawk was seen down around the euco's near Lapstone station. I've
got a feeling that there were raptors around this time last year as
well, but I don't (and won't!) keep a day list and just have to rely
on my memory. I'll search my mail this time next year to remind
myself.
