Welcome Kathleen,
Wedge Tailed Eagles are such a magnificent sight!
There are also some very interesting raptors in the Bacchus Marsh  -
Werribee Gorge Area, including Peregrine Falcons. It is worth keeping your
eyes peeled in that section of the trip.
I have also seen Wedgies and other raptors in the valleys around Organ Pipes
NP - not far, as the eagle flies, from Melton.
Wedgies would be pretty happy at the moment as rabbits, a common prey item,
are furiously breeding and the young bunnies just emerging from the burrows.
