Hi all
I see that as well as state based recording pages, Eremaea (http://www.eremaea.com/) has established an Australian page. However, it is not clear how this page is to be used in relation to the state pages (ie record to state page first and the moderators sift records out for the national page, or try here first?) or populated (presumably nationally significant sightings, although there is no guidance on this). I have no problem with the national page (probably a useful supplement to birding-aus) but I think its usefulness would become constrained if it starts to fill up with records that are not significant at a national level. I have used the mechanism on the Eremaea home page to ask this question directly, but as I see that several of the moderators participate in birding-aus, perhaps they would care to comment here.
Cheers
Tom Wilson
