Hi All,
Have been busy attempting to process the many photographs from the recent
Christmas Island trip and thought some might be interested to have a look at a
few of images:

-The Tiger Shrike may still be present but is difficult to find and skulking in
nature. The pale lores and markings on the sides would indicate a female
rather than a male as previously reported
-Numerous Swiftlets are present and it would appear that two additional species
are associating with the regular Linchi Swiftlets most likely Edible-nest
Swiftlet and Black-nest Swiftlet - any experts like offer opinion on the
identity?
-The Reed Warbler was still calling (particularly early in the morning) on the
28th and may still be present. It is extremely difficult to see as it is
frequenting dense vegetation. It is a small Reed Warbler certainly smaller
than Australian or Oriental Reed Warbler and is most likely one of three
species Manchurian, Paddyfield or Black-browed Reed Warbler.
