G'day folks

Identifying raptors in flight can be frustratingly difficult and
field guides are very light on regarding depictions from different
angles, different ages, stage of the wing stroke, etc.

Russell Jenkins of the Toowoomba Bird Observers has kindly put
together a collection of images (mostly his) of Australian raptors in
flight as two mini-guides to assist our members with identification.
Well worth having on hand.

You can download them from our recently upgraded website at
www.toowoombabirdobservers.org.au under the Downloads section.

Also interested to hear your thoughts on the possible red goshawk
images. Russell took them near O'Reillys in August '85. It has been
his bogey bird. Same goes for me!

Russell's email is if you wish to contact him
privately. If you feel like donating any images that could be used in
future versions, I know he'd be grateful. Has no grey falcon pics for
starters. Just ensure you include a clear subject heading to help him
identify your emails from all the spam.

Cheers

Michael Atzeni
