Two Swift Parrot and Regent Honeyeater Workshops are being held in the
Sydney region in the coming weeks:
Workshops are free with lunch and morning tea provided. The day covers
introductory information about the two species and goes further to
discuss their habitat preferences and migratory lifestyle. Threats to
the Swift Parrot and Regent Honeyeater are discussed as well as the
actions of the recovery team, volunteer involvement and what people can
do to assist these birds. The day is suitable for new birders as well as
experienced volunteers as we will also be reporting back on information
collected about these species to date
The day includes a field component where we go out to some nearby
suitable habitat at about 2:00pm. We will try to car pool as much as
possible. Be prepared for the weather and bring binoculars if you have
them.
