Cobboboonee SF gazetted National Park

Hi all,

Good news. I've just heard from Rob Farnes that Cobboboonee State Forest
is to be gazetted as a national park, ending a 10 years battle by the
Portland Field Naturalist's Club.

Well done Rob and the Portland Field Nat!!!

It will be continuous with the LGNP and consist of 18,000 hectares and
8,000 hec Forest Park. Changes could be made to the section on the Cob
State Forest so that it reads NP in all cases or brackets that National
Park status is pending.
