Hi there,

As a kid I used to lie in bed listening to the Dawn Chorous and the
challenge was to count the number of species that I could identify. From
memory the list used to be quite long 'thems being the days' of living in
the country when there was a lot more bush.

Now, in leafy suburbia, my list is quite short:

Bolton Point, Western Lake Macquarie, NSW.
Starts with the Kookaburras, Magpies and then Noisy Miners to the power of
10. Followed by Grey Butcherbird, Eastern Whipbird, Silver Gull, Australian
Raven and Rainbow Lorikeets.

And no Canada Geese!!

There must be some pretty interesting Dawn Chorouses (Chori?) around so what
do you regularly hear?

Colin Driscoll
