Hi Marnix,

Further to my earlier comments on your Wompoo Fruit-Dove record on the NSW South Coast I was in Gibraltar Range National Park (north coast NSW) yesterday and located two feeding Wompoo Fruit-Doves. Instead of the "Wallock-a-woo" call, they were making a shortened version (possibly similar to what you heard) which sounded like "woo" or "roo".

I still think that a sighting record would be needed to claim the record but it does sound possible that they were Wompoos. Hopefully a local birdo may be able to follow up this report.
