Unfortunately the Bush Stone-curlew captured from Timbrell Park had to be euthanased on Wednesday. Despite the best efforts of the zoo veterinary staff, the breaks to its leg were causing infections and the bird was not recovering. The post mortem revealed that the bird was a female sub-adult.
