Actually not too much rain today and I went to Mareeba where the sun was shining weakly. On the way over a Hobby near the Barron River east of Atherton and a Square-tailed Kite at the Rocky Creek Memorial Park. A barking Owl and a Barn Owl were seen dead on the side of the road. On the way home a pair of Wedge-tailed Eagles east of Tolga and a Grey Goshawk within twenty metres of where I had seen the Hobby in the morning. A small Accipiter flew across in front of me as I drove into the yard. Most likely a Collared Sparrowhawk but I would not bank my reputation on it.

Regards,
Alan Gillanders
