I still have a lot of work to do reading through HANZAB, WA Bird Notes and other references, but I have loaded a draft working copy on to my web site for people to look at and comment on.  Go to Bird Lists on my web site at birdingwa.iinet.net.au

Does someone have lists for each of the Australian States and Territories (including Lord Howe, Norfolk, Christmas, Cocos, Macquarie, Heard, Ashmore).  It doesn't need to be the new C&B 2008 taxonomy.  I should be able to determine any differences.  I can get the main species from a field guide, but a list with all the vagrants would be very useful.

I am putting together an Excel spreadsheet with a column for each state / territory.  The list will of course be available to anyone on birding-aus.

It will have inbuilt logic to determine the total number for each column, and the number you have seen.  Occurrence will be marked with an x, and seen by a 1.  A total Australian list will also be determined by logic.  The list is in C&B 2008 order (minus the extinctions), but with the addition of Western Reef Egret, Saunder's Tern, Middendorff's Warbler and Asian Brown Flycatcher from the Supplementary List which I feel will be passed by BARC when submissions are finally made.  If people feel that all species from the Supplementary List should be on the list, then I can do this and mark them with a ? in the territory they were claimed.
