Sunday, 11am. No rain overnight -water level still around 1.13. Between 6.30
and 8.30am saw no rail today. A few Spotless Crakes and a possible Spotted
Crake. With Russell Woodford, Sean Dooley and others also saw an Australian
Hobby harrassing some of the abundant Spotted Turtle-Doves, and a Brown
Goshawk(?).

Very windy conditions may have had something to do with the no show, something
I've experienced previously.

Location details: Altona, Melway ref 54 C10. Park at corner of Galvin St and
Civic Pde, walk west. Pond is behind the low trees on your left. There's a
platform on each side. Most sightings from the south platform. I should
mention that it can be really cold there if it's windy.
