The Birds Australia Southern Queensland Annual Conference is from 8:50 am to 5 pm Saturday 8 March 2008 at University of the Sunshine Coast, Sippy Downs, Qld 4556.
 
Theme: The Birds of Southern Queensland — research and conservation.

The program is on the BASQ website: www.basq.org.au. Papers will be mainly about the birds of Southern Queensland.

A Birds Australia Atlas workshop will be run by Andrew Silcocks (Atlas Coordinator) assisted by Chris Sanderson (Atlassing in the Regions Project Coordinator). There will sections for beginners and advanced atlassers, including information about the new linear Atlassing method recently adopted.

A program of bird outings is being arranged for Sunday 9 March, starting from the recommended accommodation at the Forest Glen Resort (1800 669 955.

The registration forms is available from the Secretary,  (m("bigpond.com","gwrogers");">, PO Box 224 Crows Nest Qld 4355) or may be downloaded from the BASQ website. Registrations are due by Feb 29.
