Hallo all,
When I first came to Norway many years ago there was a man who worked at the
university in Bergen. He had a tame Common Raven called Kromp that he had
taught to talk. If I remember correctly the Raven could say several words and
one or two short sentences. What was even more remarkable was that it had also
picked up the Bergen dialect. The Raven also made a few TV appearances and
became quite a celebrity.

Regards,
Eddie Chapman, Voss, Norway.

This bird was owned by taxidermist Peter Valeur at Bergen Museum and was called
Krompen. He 'spoke' better and more articulated than most talking parrots, and
indeed in the bergen dialect. But then of course most Bergensere are well-known
to be quite talkative!
