I agree about Birdata, and I think Eremaea is a logical candidate as
well.
As for France, I am not sure that that there is an online birding
database there. Unfortunately there is much more interest in eating
the bird species than recording the sightings.
As for taxonomic conflicts, no doubt they will be resolved in the
usual manner, by civilised, scholarly discussion, based on well
researched data.
Worldbirds will be an interesting space to watch.

has been collected - a massive undertaking!
