After receiving Pizzey and Knight (Menkhorst Ed) for Christmas, I am
wondering what will be the first guide out with the new taxonomy.....
the above mentioned made a few claims which were later not
substantiated/accepted such as Paperbark Flycatcher......
Also who will be the first to publish a FG to match the whole of C&B
2008, for offshore territories as well????
It just goes to show that taxonomic research and "accepted lists" are
often out of date before publication. From my knowledge, the Fairy
Pitta seen in WA is not on either the main or supplementary lists. This
has happened with other classes of vertebrates as well eg Reptiles and
Frogs.

True - I think they all do and in the case of Rosellas that would be
