Sorry if this has already been reported (I'm catching up on a few hundred
old emails after a couple of weeks away) - the new checklist has arrived.
"Systematics and taxonomy of Australian birds" by Les Christidis and Walter
Boles is now available in specialist bookstores. Andrew Isles have announced
that their copies have arrived, so I assume The Birding Shop also has them.
This isn't an ad for either store, just a note to let everybody know that
the long-awaited checklist has arrived. Cost is around $60 I think, so it
must be a little more substantial than the small paperback edition we've
been referring to for some years.
