One of our members rehabilitating a Channel-billed Cuckoo which came in with concussion. The bird is a fledgling and still dependant on adults. When it is about to be fed is behaves in a very similar fashion to a Figbird chick - shaking the head and throat. Has anyone come across CBCs being reared by Figbirds? HANZAB does not document this and despite literally hundreds of CBCs being captive reared by members we have not seen this behaviour.
