Hi Ian,
I think our chances are about as good as ticking a Dodo and a Moa at
Werribee on the same day.
Cheers,

Hi Carl
What if we ask Kev 07 or Al, his pal for some offset funding to build
a low carbon emitting yacht for Birding-aus members.. We could sail
around twitching pelagics with a wind generator charging our phone
and camera batteries, solar panels powering the tv, the beer fridge
and of course an electronic mulching toilet integrated with the vhf
to help broadcast our results.
No, we don't want trees, we want kelp. We could crew the boat with
vegans and other diverse humans who would live off kelp.. What do
you have if you mix carbon with kelp and cement it together with the
waste of a sequestrating vegan? Recycled carbon fibre to build a
boat!. Yep, all we need is vision, a capacity to brainstorm and
understand the big picture.
And at the end of the day if we want more funding, just create a
computer model based on our results and make up a few 50 year
forecasts of imminent extinctions and rising sea levels. Now where
can i find an accurate weather forecast for tomorrow?
Happy New Year and good birding
