Depends on how you define "common". They do regularly hybridise. Then again 
that depends on how you define "regular". Important to the issue is (as happens 
so often) the question of where is your neighbour. As in frequency of mixed 
species pairs depends a lot on the relative abundance of the two species 
involved.
