Dear all,

actually I'm in Townsville heading north to Cairns. Does anybody know of any
special/unusual birds actually staying in this region?

Is in Cairns or any other place not too far in the inland any possibility for
Little Curlew and Oriental Plover? We tried hard last week in NT (Darwin to
Kakadu NP) but didn't get any of these waders:-(

And last: Does anybody know a reliable place for Emu not too far into the
inland from Townsville or from Cairns or from in between?

Please e-mail any answers direct to my adress

Thanks a lot for your help,

Martin Gottschling
