Hi birders,
I'm passing on a request for help in the Cronulla area in Sydney, regarding
an escaped cockatiel. Since it escaped a few days ago it has been spotted by
several people, sometimes in the company of a flock of rainbow lorikeets. It
was last seen yesterday by the side of the road. It has also been fed by at
least one person who reported it in his yard. This is a very tame,
hand-reared bird, much beloved by its elderly owner. The cockatiel is all
white except for some cinnamon colouring on its wings. If anyone in the area
should spot it, it may well come to hand. The owner would gladly offer a
reward for its safe return.
I know this is not the forum for Lost and Found but any help would be
appreciated as the lady is extremely distressed.
Thanks

Tracey Newcombe
