I recently put a request on the net for the location of
a nest, and have been mildly amazed at the furore this has created re. nest and
egg collecting.
So to set the record straight :-
1.I am a long standing member of Birds Queensland and Birds
Australia, and have never collected eggs or nests.
                    2. I was trying to get an exact location of a reported
nestsite where I could be sure of seeing the birds.
3.I have since seen and photographed the birds with the
help of the Information centre at Jandowae.
                    4. I sincerely apologise for the hornet's ''nest''!! my
request created.

End of story - I hope!

                                              Brian Willey.
