I'm not sure if it is a juvenile WBS-Eagle call, but rather, their normal distress/warning call!? MANY years ago, while at Hattah-Kulkyne NP in NW Vic, we heard very strange overhead noises. From recollection something like a cross between upset chooks, ducks and cockatoos. On investigation we found a (nesting) pair of WBSE having an aerial altercation with a passing Wedge-tailed Eagle. To our amazement, as we watched these 3 birds' aerial interactions, they were dived on, from above, by a Peregrine Falcon! Very strange noises, Wendy |
