Hi All,
SCARLET HONEYEATERS, two seen in the garden and more heard down on
the creek yesterday. Two PACIFIC BAZAS near the dam on Mayfair Rd 6.45am,
sitting next to each other sunning on a dead branch. A DOLLARBIRD nearby.
Also eight Wood-duck hatchlings on the verge, father duck put on a
broken-wing display for fifty yards up the road.

A goanna over a metre long and in top condition lying dead on the
roadside, not squashed but presumably hit by a car.

The Valley looks very green, scores of birds singing, Brown Quail,
Sacred Kingfisher and five different cuckoo spp.calling, so breeding is well
underway.
                                                                   Cheers

Michael
