On the way out from there to Stuart hwy, we flushed three black breasted 
buzzards off of the ground(these raptors seem to 'perch' on the ground often 
and coming back towards Alice there was a probable square tailed kite-seemed to 
be migrating possibly using the highway as a guide-it was gliding down the 
highway at quite a speed, reasonably high-in the time that it had taken us to 
stop the car, get out and watch it for a short while it had almost disappeared 
out of sight along highway
