I used to love watching and reading them growing up!

G'day all

I just found out that Vincent Serventy died last week. Younger folk might
not know of Vincent but I well remember watching 'Nature Walkabout' on
telly when I was a kid (late 1960s). Vincent and wife Carol and kids were given a 4wd and a camper and told to travel Australia and make a natural history TV series. It captured my imagination and 20 years later I did a
similar trip with my wife and kids.

His brother Dom Serventy was the academic ornithologist but Vincent was the writer of many popular environmental books and led many conservation
campaigns.

Check out some of Vincents books in your local library.
