A request for the skills and knowledge of list members.
Trevor Wilson at the University of Sydney has agreed to me passing on his
request for information about honeyeater use of Prostanthera plants in
Australia.
In particular Trevor is keen to hear from anyone who has any information
at all (anecdotal or otherwise) on what species of honeyeater utilise or
have been observed in these plants (mint bushes).
Please contact Trevor directly, using his email address below.

Greetings,
I am a phd candidate at the university of Sydney investigating the
evolution of bird pollination in the Australian mintbush, Prostanthera
(family Lamiaceae). Although different Prostanthera species have bird or
insect type pollinated flowers, there are a lack of records of what
actually visits/pollinates these plants. I am interested in whether there
are any published/unpublished observations of birds associating with these
plants. If you can help, please email me at
Thank you for your time,
Trevor Wilson Msc.
