Was at Cape Solander whale watching station at lunch time today and
spotted a couple of Albatross, seas were quite calm with very little
wind. Normally I'd only expect to see them when it's blowing a gale.
They were needing to flap quite regularly which is not usual and only
about 100m off shore.
Looked most like yellow nosed Albatross based on full black upper wing crossing the body and underwing cleanly outlined in black, observed through 10x42 binos. regards, Chris Ross =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.comTo unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
