Well they have 14 (occasionally 16) pale stripes on a dark
background, so I'd assume it means 14.

Whilst on the subject of long-named reptiles, the large
prehensile-tailed cave gecko from the Kimberley region used
to be known as "Pseudothecadactylus lindneri cavaticus".
It's now been elavated to species status, so dropped the
lindneri, but in the 70s, featured in a song sung to the tune of
supercalifragilisticexpialidoceous (same number of syllables as
P. l. cavaticus) and performed at a national herpetological
congress.  You had to be there, I'm sure.
