Thanks to all who offered tips on seeing the Eastern Bristlebird at
Barren Grounds Nature Reserve. On Saturday 14.7.07 saw briefly the
Eastern Bristlebird at Barren Grounds NR on the track to the Illawarra
Lookout. We heard it call, so waited a few minutes, then it hopped out
of the dense scrub onto the edge of the track and paused briefly about
12m away, then it skipped across the track, stopped briefly on the edge
again and before I could get the binoculars up it disappeared into the
scrub again.
