Sea level rise is a major threat to saltmarsh communities and so it is important to retain suitable areas inland from saltmarsh, so that the plant community and all the animals that go with it can retreat.

I hope BA and others will take on this point, not just in relation to OBPs.

It is the sort of concern that the Victorian government is intending to address through its "Land and Biodiversity" Green and White Papers over the next couple of years.
