Had a couple of hours at Magic Point yesterday 25 June between about
1230 and 1430. Mild conditions for winter, mostly overcast and wind
seemed to be blowing in mainly from the north-northwest (possibly the
reason as to why almost no marine species were seen). Following
sightings were made:
Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo 3
White-fronted Tern 2
Aust Gannet c 10
Fluttering Shearwater 1
Yellow-nosed Albatross 1
White-faced Heron 1
Nankeen Kestrel 1
Little Penguin - several heard
Crested Tern, Silver Gull, New Holland HE, Silvereye, Starling all seen
in good numbers
Humpback Whale c 7, inc calf breaching
Thankyou Keith for info on the site.
