When Morgan O'Connell phoned me at lunchtime, he was watching the Red-legged Crake (I've seen the photo) enjoying the sprinklers on the lawn from his room at the Whim Creek pub!!! Its been around three days, is quite tame and he reckons chances of seeing it are good. Whim Ck is halfway between Port Hedland & Karratha. Richard Baxter & I hope to see it tomorrow!
