A Black-tailed Gull was in Geraldton from 6th to 16th May. This is the second record for WA. It was photographed by Bruce Robertson (from Victoria), and identified by John Darnell at the WA Museum. Bruce left Geraldton on the 16th, so there is no reason to assume that the bird has left. It was seen on City Beach and at the Fisherman's Wharf, usually hanging around with Silver Gulls.
