Hi Penny,
I just travelled from Currawinya NP to Cooma Station nw of Eromanga on
Sunday. They had a fair bit of rain in the area a few weeks ago when some
creeks flooded again. Most unsurfaced roads were dry and hard, but hadn't
been graded since the last rain, so are quite rough with some deep crevices
where water eroded the road surface. There is water in many of the creeks
in pools at least, some are flowing! Where properties have not been
overstocked during the drought and in National Parks, etc, there is quite a
bit of regrowth vegetation and the land is almost lush in places. There are
birds around, but possibly more dispersed than during the drought when water
restricted birds to areas where there was still water. Many birds are
nesting or preparing to nest.
Day temperaturs are still quite hot, especially in the afternoons.

Dear all
Has anyone got up-to-date information on conditions of roads to
Cunnamulla-Thargomindah-Tibooburra-Cameron's
Corner-Birdsville-Wanaaring-Bourke
Moree-St.George-Long Reach-Mt.Isa-Boulia-Birdsville-Broken Hill
Mainly I'm concerned about state of dirt tracks and whether or not
there's been much rain and good conditions for plants and birds.
Please reply direct unless you want to inform the whole chat line.
Thanks in advance
