The results as shown from my book: "Canberra Birds: A Report on the first 21 
years of the Garden Bird Survey" shows from the period July 1981 to June 2002, 
based on 1316 observer-years of data, the abundance of the Striated Pardalote 
has declined slightly, however the variability between years is significant and 
indeed a lot more than the actual decline. Therefore the overall decline is 
probably not significant. Similar for the Spotted Pardalote with the decline 
even less, on average it is almost stable.
