I have not seen RBFinches eating Allocasuarina seeds but have watched
Beautiful Firetails feeding on them on least three occasions at Wilson's
Promontary. Two of those observations involved a recently dead fallen branch
on Mnt Oberon, and a recently fallen tree across the track toLittle Oberon
Bay which was visited by the birds continuously over a number of days.

Yesterday, 16th March, saw 2 Red-browed Finches eating Casuarina seeds
(might have been Allocasuarina). I've never seen this before, is it commonly
known?
