Yeah I totally agree that it's good if people can specify at least a state with
their location references.
Anyway - I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark and assume that the state
that has had recent rains is NSW and that the La Perouse mentioned at the
bottom is in Sydney, so this is the Sydney Centennial Park.

You make reference to 'Centenial Park' would this be in Cairns, Sydney,
Melbourne?
Which State has had recent rains?

A couple of interesting sightings in Centennial Park on Sunday 11 Mar
between 8.15 and 10.30am.
1 adult with 2 begging juvenile Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos in the
pine groves on the Randwick Racecourse side - my first city sightings

A Brown Goshawk was hunting around the main pond.
Not sure if Greenfinch are still seen here? Looked in pine areas but
none seen/heard. Waterbirds not in impressive numbers perhaps after
recent rains in many parts of the State - only a few Hardhead and
Chestnut Teal present, no Musk Duck seen. Flock of 28 Pelicans on main
pond, 1 Intermediate Egret, 3 Black-fronted Dotterels.
Large numbers of the resident tortoise species visible at the back of
the larger ponds - 12 in one side pond - as water levels still low.
2 Spangled Drongos seen at La Perouse later in the day.
