Sorry for being off-topic (again) but the Victorian Dragonflies site is now
'flying'. We have still to write / rewrite some sections of text that are
awaiting our attention. However, we now have images and descriptions of most
of the species in Victoria. Plus, we also have sightings maps and about
1,500 records.
We are hoping that this will generate further interest in the region. The
map shows the lat and lons of records as well as date. Some species,
particularly those found in the lowlands, seem particularly rare and have
been unrecorded in the State for nearly a century. We also have one
'undiscovered' species.
We would be very interested in receiving records using the excel spreadsheet
on the site. Images are also good but not for species that are common where
we already have lots of shots. Though if you have dragonflies in your photo
collection that appear to be unusual and want an ID, then feel free to
forward them to the address on the site.
