G'day Birders, some of you may recall a photo of a bird that I distrubuted on B-aus a few years ago. The bird turned out to be a very odd looking Spotted turtle dove, (exactly what the photographer thought it was). Several people replied that the the image had been doctored somehow and that it was all just a big hoax. They did this without bothering to find out that the source was a very credible professional birder. After this event I know I would be hesitant to make such a claim.
