Looking out my window late yesterday afternoon I couldn't believe my
eyes. Perching in the tree about 10 metres from my window, looking
like an apparition through the mist, was the most beautiful Grey
Goshawk. It was back on the same branch at dawn this morning. I think
it's about 15-20 years since I last saw a Grey Goshawk at Katoomba
(though they do occur regularly in other parts of the Blue
Mountains). A stunning addition to the garden list!
