Penny asked whether there were any migrating Yellow-faced Honeyeaters
in the Blue Mountains or other areas yet. None here in Katoomba so
far and I would have noticed them if they were going over.
What I have had is a tree full of Noisy Friarbirds feeding in
flowering Eucalyptus oreades, and at least 3 Satin Flycatchers in my
street since last week. One is calling now as I type this. Strangely
that was the first time they turned up here this season (they usually
arrive in October).
