Peter,
looks rather like a Tiger Snake. Hope you used a long lens!
Cheers,

Hi All,

On Saturday, I found my first Pectoral Sandpiper on the rocky edge of a
lagoon along the edge of the bay, east of the Little River mouth. (Just
past the first outlet drain (145E???)).

A photo of the Pec can be seen here:

On the Sunday, I tried to relocate the Pec with no success, however I came
across an amazingly coloured snake sun-bathing on the road. Its
colourations glowing in the direct dusk sunlight.

It had a greenish head merging into chocolatey brown upperparts. Its
underparts were a bright orangey yellow, with indistinct stripings of
green.

Is there any snakers out there I can send a photo to for an ID?

Alternatively, you can view an image at the following link:

Any help appreciated.

Peter
