Hold the excitement - read on!

I heard a third hand report of possible Painted Snipe at Minnippi
Parklands earlier in the week. Managed to get there Wed afternoon for
the last hour and a half of daylight and again on Thursday morning for
the first hour... plenty of Latham's feeding out in the open on the
exposed mud (the lake is very low) but no sign of any other snipe sp.

Has anyone any further information regarding the possible sighting?

It's quite possible - the lake is in perfect condition for this species
and would really appreciate some sort of confirmation or denial!

Cheers
Colin
