Hi Netters,
Jim Valentine and I on the way to a 20 day birding tour
of India had a stopover in Bangkok. Our Thai flight arrived at 06:25 and
left at 19:50 giving us 13:25 for bird watching. I contacted local bird
guide Pinit who picked us up and dropped us off at the airport and
arranged some birding. We went to various areas near the vast new
airport and ticked 73 birds with Brown Hawk Owl being new for me.
If you have time to spare between flights Pinit and Min
Saengaew will do a day birding for US$150 for one to three persons and
it sure beats sitting around an airport.

All the Best
