Dear All,

Our family Christmas in Tasmania allows a last chance at improving the year list. Will have a little time in Hobart, but the majority of our stay will be at Strahan. Any tips on where I may be able to look for any of the following around either Hobart or Strahan would be greatly appreciated.

Lewin's Rail
Sanderling
Brush Bronzewing
Swift Parrot
Blue-winged Parrot
Ground Parrot
Southern Emu-wren
Satin Flycatcher
Beautiful Firetail

Dave Watts' "Field Guide to Tasmanian Birds" states that Strahan Airport is a good spot for Ground Parrot and Southern Emu-wren. Does anyone know more specifically where I should focus my efforts, or is any heath worth a look?

Thanks in advance, Pete Kyne
